I seriously started thinking about my 4th of July plans and menu less than a week ago and now I’m scrambling to play catch-up before the weekend! Innovation is usually born of necessity and this recipe is no exception! This flavor-packed twist on the classic Southern Chicken Biscuit staple is sure to be a favorite with grown-ups as well as kids (and especially you Mamas and hostesses!) because it’s ridiculously easy to throw together! Grab the ingredients from the nearest Kroger or Walmart, give yourself about 30 minutes for prep + bake time, and you’re DONE!

Instructions
  1. Mix chicken and BBQ sauce in a bowl and set aside.

  2. Place two pieces of crescent roll dough across each other in a star pattern. Add about 2 Tbsp of chicken mixture and a cube of cheese to center of dough.

  3. Wrap ingredients tightly but gently with dough.

  4. Wrap 1-2 pieces of bacon around dough and secure with toothpick.

  5. Repeat until all dough is used. Place all bombs in a non-stick pan

  6. Bake at 425F for 20 minutes -- until golden brown and you can hear the bacon sizzling!

Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from baking pan. Plate and garnish with strawberries and pickle slices on toothpicks if desired! Serve with a bowl of Alabama White sauce for dipping! Enjoy!
