Even more than my birthday and Christmas I love Valentine’s Day! It’s the one day of the year you can be beyond romantic and sappy and no one can make fun of you! You can wear pink and red and dress up without anyone thinking it’s odd or asking you, “why?” Chocolate calories don’t count and people are just sweeter. ❤️ I love giving gifts on Valentine’s Day but I also don’t hate receiving them! Here are 6 things that would make my little heart go pitter-patter if handed on the 14th!
A retro inspired card from Rifle Paper Co. containing sweet nothings and declarations of undying love, A blush velvet cross body bag like this or this one, My favorite YSL cologne, A 50’s fashion inspired faux fur leopard coat, Overnight macaron delivery from ‘Lette, Roses that last a year from Venus et Fleur (pink roses please in case my husband is reading! #subtlehint) 😍
What’s on your fantasy Valentine’s Day wish list?
I don’t want give away any surprises, but I have to admit I snagged a few things from this list to gift my BFF for this Galentine’s Day, so you know I’m serious when I tell you I love these picks! Do you exchange Valentine’s Day gifts with your bestie or just your significant other? I’d love to hear about your special V-Day traditions!
While I may not have new, never-before-thought-of-co-worker gift ideas for the Holidays, I wanted to do something a bit less expected than ornaments or boxes of candy. This year I handmade a few items and tried to personalize the gift for each individual on my list 🙂
This years gift ideas included:
- Handmade beaded headband
- Handmade velvet cross choker
- Tee with handmade glitter silhouette (I used an image from social media of my co-worker’s sweet dog and created the glitter iron-on!)
- Adult coloring book + colored pencils
- Hand cream + facial refreshing spray
- Graphic Socks
- Graphic Tie
- Wine bottle accessories (instead of gifting wine, and inevitably choosing the wrong kind!)
- Cozy mug with hot chocolate mix
- Gift cards (when in doubt let them choose what they really want!)
I don’t usually have the time to put this much planning into Christmas for anyone, but I wanted to do something fun because I don’t know how many Christmases I get to have with this particular group of people before we move away from Nashville, and I will miss all of them so much!
Gift boxes shown from Sugar Paper LA for Target, grosgrain ribbon from Amazon, poppers & wrapping paper from HomeGoods.
Do you like to gift all of your co-workers the same thing (so everyone feels equal!) or purchase individual gifts depending on the person (with the hope you know them as well as you think you do!)

By this week in the gift-buying game you’re probably burnt out on the crowds and lines, however, (thankfully!) there’s still over a week to place online orders without paying for rush shipping! I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite gifts that are crowd-pleasing items almost anyone would love to receive!
Merry Christmas and happy shopping!
Towards the end of the first week of December I start to get burnt out on festive outfits and begin gravitating towards the two outfits I know I look great in despite not working out and eating every Christmas cookie put in front of my face! I have two current holiday outfit go-to’s which serve for any type of occasion: A.) Something involving a tunic top + fur vest + leggings + boots (all black, obvs.), B.) Something involving an LBD + heels (again, all black, obvs.). I’ll switch between a glossy nude lip or matte red lip, and my hair up or down, but for the most part, that’s it!
However, I have a secret weapon to updating those two outfits, and setting them apart as “special” holiday outfits night after night: Earrings! Sparkly, gorgeous earrings! Yes, my dears, Holly was right; Give a woman the right earrings and she can rule the world! (or something to that effect!)
I’ve linked earrings from my favorite designers from $15 – $350. Click any of the links below to be taken straight to the website the item is sold on (no logging into an app or website rigmarole!)
