I was looking through some shots I took of some beautiful French hotels I stayed at last time I was in Paris and it inspired me to shoot a little boudoir theme collection of my January Favorites! Paris is the easiest city to fall in love with, don’t you think? 🗼❤️

Blush x Gold

One of my favourite things about traveling is planning out my outfits and accessories. Sometimes putting these goodies together makes for the prettiest vignettes! I just had to take a few snapshots with these blush, gold and natural light tones to remember getting ready for a really special trip to Prague.

My Coffee Cart

Hello, Loves! I hope you had a fabulous Independence Day! I know I did with lots of BBQ and blueberry/cherry cheesecake {we had to have something red, white & blue of course!}.
On to the business at hand… a few days ago I posted an inspirational photo list of coffee cart ideas, and being the type of person that must act on idea once they have it, I decided I couldn’t wait any longer to have my own! See the result of my coffee cart styling below.

As I had mentioned before, I wanted a rack of some sorts for syrups so when I found this white cart with notched shelves I knew that would work perfectly.
The little drawers are perfect for keeping individually wrapped tea bags and a letter tray on the top helps organize and separate items. I’m planning on finding one more tray for the left side and hanging the art above the cart for more space.

Of course I had to have a little coffee related art on my cart! I made this print using a favorite font. The mat background is two pieces of pale pink card stock turned horizontally to fit the frame. The frame is a plain wood thrift store find that I spray painted with gold metallic paint.

Lovely, Long Valentine’s Day Weekend

My husband really out did himself for Valentine’s Day! He took me on a long weekend trip to Prague, Czech Republic for ice skating, an Opera, shopping and dinner at my favorite restaurant in the city.

I hope your Valentine’s Day was wonderful! What did you do? Were you surprised with flowers or chocolate from your love or do you always know what you will do on Valentine’s Day?

Let The Countdown Begin + Hint #ONE

It’s no secret I’m OBSESSED with Valentine’s Day… I’ve always had the best memories of this day every year since I was a child. My mother gave us little gifts, created beautiful pink and red sweets, let us watch romantic movies (“Ever After, “The Importance of Being Earnest” and “The Princess Bride were our top picks!) and best of all — made the most darling, sparkly, lace covered cards.
Her amazing talent is what inspired my adoration of stickers, paper doilies, glitter and the loveliest day of the year.
After I was a bit older my current boyfriend, boss, BFF and EVERYONE at work and school knew I expected flowers. Usually I get at least 3 bouquets and several boxes of chocolate by noon!
Every year I wear red and/or pink. I spend WEEKS planning out this outfit and typically change 2-3 times during the day depending on what I have planned. For example there’s brunch… obviously I have this in my pink or red satin Victoria’s Secret pajamas while I open gifts or cards from friends and family…. then I change into something work/school appropriate (depending on what day the Holiday has fallen on) this outfit has consisted of everything from red Wellies and a pink sweatshirt with jeans to a red tulle skirt and a vintage lace blush blouse with my Loubies. I always wear my favorite perfume, lipstick and have my nails manicured in some heart or lip shaped theme!
Maybe it’s silly to take this day so seriously but I can be a complete sap and no one can make fun of me. It’s the one day out of the year I don’t need an excuse to gorge on expensive chocolate or cry when I hear a depressing hook up story from my co-worker. I indulge in all my Mr. Darcy-esque day dream fantasies and feel wildly un-ashamed while I binge listen to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack while I slow walk on the treadmill at the gym.
ANYWAY, all that to explain why I’m writing this post now… Every Friday until Valentine’s Day I will be posting a little surprise hint as to the items which you will see in my 2nd annual ‘FAVORITE THINGS VALENTINE’S DAY GIVEAWAY’!!!
